About

Trudy Adams is an award-winning Australian author who has a passion for writing about real-life issues faced by teenagers and young adults.

Trudy has spent her career in the youth work, child protection, and family violence support sectors, holding various leadership roles and developing a specialist interest in trauma, its impact, and recovery. She now operates Still Waters Ecotherapy.

Born in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Trudy's love for the power of words and stories began at a young age. She completed the draft of debut novel, Desolate Beauty, at the age of 18, which went on to win 3rd prize in the Australian Christian Book of the Year Award in 2010. Since then, she has published six other novels, including The Crowned Guardians, her latest book in The Armoured Butterfly series.

Trudy holds a Bachelor of Arts (English), a Graduate Diploma in Youth Studies, and a Master of Ministry.

In addition to writing, Trudy facilitates writing workshops in schools and is a trained musician, having studied piano to Grade 8 level. She currently lives in the Moorabool Shire in Victoria, Australia.
